- School Introduction
Established in 2008, The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SCUN, offers Bachelor of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Preparation, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Chemical Biology, and Masters of Pharmacy in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmaceutical Chemistry degree, which currently enrolls 1200 undergraduate and graduate students.
There are over 66 members of full-time academic and teaching staff, in addition to technical, research and administrative staff. The outstanding faculty members are committed to delivery of excellent pharmaceutical science education and training as well as actively participate in interdisciplinary cutting-edge research. Their research interests include medicinal chemistry of natural products from fungi or TCM, small bioactive molecules development, pharmaceutical analysis and quality control, organic synthesis, chemical biology, pharmacology, rational drug design, targeted drug delivery, and pharmacokinetics. Faculty research programs are supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), also supported by State Ethnic Affairs Commission and SCUN.
The school covers four departments: Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Preparation, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Chemical Biology, and Institute of Pharmacology.
